Why could we not put resistor between DME and bypass valve? This resistor will make PWM signal for exple 10% smaller (or bigger?); So if DME send 80% PWM signal, then this resistor will correct this signal to 70% ; so bypass will open for 10% less, so we get more boost.
Do you think this is possible?

Hi Snogard,
the solution with a resistor does only work in case of a valve that has no sensor signal and the output signal is set to fixed values. If there is a position control, that solution does not work.
Air mass : 1.2 kg/m3 ( wikipedia)
good luck and I hope you will reach 200 kW soon

I dont think Air bypass valve return position control to DME; In otherwords: DME only hopes that bypass flap is where it suppose to be (according to PWM signal); So let say that PWM signal is 50; So flap is open according to that value. So if you at that moment manualy (by hands) move flap for 10 degrees, DME wont know that; But we could not manualy move flap between driving, so we must electronicaly move flap. And possible solution is by resistor as far we understand this thing till now.The question is what will hapened when MAF will sense more boost? Maybe then bypass valve will open for another 10 degrees, so at the end we dont have more boost, but same boost as before we changed position of flap...
P.S. 200+ Kw on M111 is not possible without changing engine interior and/or NOS or turbo addition! You can get max. 250 PS with schrick camshafts, ported blower, bigger cranshaft pulley AND smaller blower pulley, larger throttle body, intercooler, supersprint headers and cats and good software to tied all that things together.

No Idea, sorry, von Elektrik verstehe ich zuwenig...

| Hallo Leute,
Also "ZU".
Evtl. sieht man was.

Mike , with bigger Fastuning crank pulley (220 mm at belt line) AND BRABUS K1 kompressor pulley (90mm at bel line) and at 5800 engine rpm (PreFL Auto) my kompressor never spin more than 14.500 rpm. And specifications of M62 kompressor are: You can spin it 14.000 rpm safely for nigt and day. Even 16.000 rpm "spitzen" do not hurt kompressor!!! So you can sometimes SAFELY spin kompressor up to 16.000 rpm and then let of the throttle (fast acceleration thruu gears) and kompressor wont be hurt. But to reach that high rpm (16.000), you need to have even smaller kompressor wheel then mine (BRABUS K1) , or/and even bigger crank wheel than mine (Fasttuning). And that is higly unlikely, because my pulleys are already on the limit.
