Hi,
New here on the forum and since I do no speak German I write in English if that is ok?
To my satisfaction I drive a fantastic 230 kompressor pre facelift ...
There seems to be a problem with my compressor clutch or the command for the clutch ...
When I rev the engine the clutch engages perfectly just above 2000 rpm.
However when I rise the rpm to approx 3000 rpm and keep it there the clutch switches of and on randomly.
It clicks on and of with an interval of +/- 2 to 3 seconds ...
It does the same when driving the car and that is extremely anoying!
Does any one of you had the same problem?
Looking forward to some answer ... Thank you!

Thank you for the quick answer!
I wil register at the UK forum also but I was told that there are some real specialists over here so that is the main reason I asked the question on this forum ...
Regards ...
Your description sounds to mee like it would be an elektrical problem. You should check the K40 Overload Relay, maybe a faulty solder joint will cause the problem.
Good afternoon and Merry Christmas Koen.
Although you can't speak German, can you read and understand the given fix desciptions in German language ?
A good number of supercharger failures are based on an oily air mass sensor and/or "cold" soldering spots in the K40 steering relais. Did you already check these failure sources ?
Hello,
I did take out the k40 relais unit and gave it a quick visual inspection ...
At first sight all connections seemed okay but I did not check under a magnifying glass.
Should I do some resoldering ... just in case?
Wicht one is the overboost relais?
The air flow sensor is not oily and it was replaced a year ago with an original Bosch ...
The car did recently get a larger cranckshaftpulley and a software upgrade from a German specialist ... At first it ran perfectly ... And it is fast!!
I also put in a 4 bar fuel pressure regulator and from that moment on the clutch problem seemed more manifest ...
Is there a possibility that the switching of is caused by some electronic measurment?
Has anyone ever fixed the clutch so there is constant kompressor boost?
I think I can understand what is written in German but to me it is difficult to use the search function because I do not know the right German words to describe the problem I am looking for!
It is really fantastic you guys answering in English!
Thank you so much!
Mit dem Stichwort: 'Magnetkupplung fixiert' fand ich: http://tinyurl.com/qcuqnwg Insbesondere der Beitrag von Ritschi p.4 beschreibt speziell, wonach du suchst. Viel Erfolg! Dieter.
You could fix the clutch permanently with a few screws, but that would not be an professional solution. The clutch will run permanently, and you will gain a constant compressor boost but the noise of the engine will increase. I guess that your 4 bar fuel pressure regulator cause the problem. I do not understand why you had done that? Whats the reason?

The problem that yr supercharger runs into failure might be a voltage overload on the MAF (max 5 Volt) caused by yr pulley arrangement leading to overboost.
You can "clamp" the voltage with a diode. So it will never go over 4.8v (if indeed this is the problem).
So in high boost conditions every voltage above 4,8 Volt will be sent to ground
