| Hi,
I am new at the forum. Holland is my home country and I am looking for an SLK 280 jahreswagen in Germany. Next Thursday I will be in Germany unplanned to conduct to the cremation of the father of a friend, and I wanted to combine this with a test drive at a specific MB Niederlassung. To my astonishment I couldn’t make an appointment because it had to be made three days in advance. It is a pity because the car has got the right specs for me, but I like to test it a little before spending the money. Is this normal at MB dealers in Germany? Is a jahreswagen such a safe bet that you can buy it without a test drive? It would save me a lot of time and hassle if I didn't have to return. Thanks for your reactions. They can be in German as well because I perfectly understand reading it. Great website by the way!

meinen 171er habe ich auch als Jahreswagen gekauft. Ebenfalls ohne Probefahrt, auch ohne ihn persönlich vorher gesehen zu haben. Da der Wagen in Deutschland 2 Jahre Garantie hat (damals Gewährleistung), war mir das Risiko sehr gering. Heute würde ich das wieder so machen, ich sehe da absolut kein Problem drin. Du solltest dir den Wagen natürlich vor der Übergabe genau ansehen und evtl. Mängel gleich aufzeigen.
Ebenso halte ich es für sinnvoll die Garantieabwicklung in Holland vorher zu klären, damit es später bei diesem Thema keine Probleme gibt.
